Mother's Day 2008

I am on strike today. I will not lift a finger to wash dishes, make a meal, or dress a kid. It is early afternoon and I have been making small projects (cards, bookmarks, etc) since 6:30. I did manage to get a shower, but that's it for this Mom. I need a break and the sense of no responsibility. Thank goodness Chris can take care of himself for the most part.
Today, I am thankful for my own mother, who not only taught me how to stay strong when life is rough, but also how to love with a depth that only a mother could know. She is a beautiful woman inside and out, and I miss her dearly today. So here's to you Mom- thanks for all you have ever done for me. I love you!
